Q: Are the online credit card applications safe and secure?
A: Yes, all of the credit card applications that
we list are safe and secure.
Q: May I apply for multiple credit card offers?
A: Yes, you can apply for more than one credit
card. Each individual card issuer decides whether they want to approve
your application for a card or not. However, if you have numerous
credit cards, some issuers may decide that your total available
credit is relatively high compared to your income, and they may
decide not to issue you more credit cards.
Q: Can I apply for a credit card with any major U.S. bank?
A: In most cases yes. Anyone who is a U.S. resident
and is at least 18 years old (the age limit may vary in some states)
has the right to apply for a credit card with an issuer of his or
her choice. The issuer of the credit card does not have to be your
regular bank.
Q: Is it required that I have an open checking account
at the bank where I want to apply for a credit card?
A: No. It is not required by any of the
credit card issuers listed on this web site to have an open bank
account with their bank in order to be approved for their credit
card.
Q: If I am turned down for a credit card how do I find
out why?
A: It is an obligation of the credit card issuer
to provide you with the reason(s) why your application was declined.
We recommend that you contact the credit card issuer directly for
the specific reason of denial. Also ask if there are any changes
you could make to increase your chances of obtaining a card.
Q: What are some of the reasons I may not be accepted for
a credit card?
A: There are several reasons why you may be declined
for a credit card, the most common reasons are: poor credit rating
or un-established credit history; your credit report could contain
mistakes or unapproved activity; you might not meet the required
annual income; if you have already had several credit card applications
declined.
